The West Branch Farmington Wild & Scenic River section runs from the base of the Goodwin Dam in Hartland to the Nepaug River confluence in Canton (slightly upstream of the Canton Town Bridge). This designed section is 15.1 miles long.
To learn more about this designation please visit the Farmington River Coordinating Committee (FRCC) website, they are an integral in the implementation of the Upper Farmington River Management Plan.
The Farmington River Valley has been our home for over 30 years. We have hiked, kayaked, skiied, fished, swam... in all corners of the Valley. New Hartford, which will be used as home base, is known as A Town for All Seasons. It is bordered by Torrington to the west, Barkhamsted to the north, Canton to the east, and Burlington and Harwinton to the south.
